Introducing IC Green
Tailored Garden Design for Small Urban Spaces
About the designer behind IC Green
Hi, I’m Immy Christine, a qualified horticulturalist, garden designer and founder of IC Green.
After a late‑in‑life career change, I’ve spent the past six years working hands‑on in the horticulture and landscape industry, gaining practical experience across a wide range of plant, soil and site conditions. More recently, I established my design practice (June 2024), developing an approach that brings horticultural insight and real-site understanding together.
My work is informed by formal study as well as a lifetime of immersion in natural environments - from time spent living in northern hemisphere landscapes to years in Australian native bushland. These experiences strengthened my understanding of plant behaviour, microclimates and the role that well‑considered planting plays in the comfort and character of a garden.
Specialising in gardens up to 100m², I focus on climate‑responsive planting, microclimate‑aware layout planning and practical, resilient designs suited to Perth’s conditions. My aim is to create small gardens that feel resolved, functional and comfortable year‑round, with planting that genuinely thrives in place.
I believe small green spaces can work hard, support local ecology and add meaningful quality to daily life when designed with intention. My goal is to help clients create outdoor environments that function well, sit comfortably within their site and continue improving over time.
Sustainable & Appealing Green Spaces
